ABOUT US...
I like to empower women.
I like giving them a voice. A way out if they need it. The second chance we all deserve or the opportunity to spread our wings as needed. We tend to forget that we've only had the vote for a hundred years! Talk about a drop in the historical bucket!
Raising strong women, praising strong women, empowering women is a wonderful thing... and once that's done there's nothing wrong with finding a heart-stopping to-die-for guy who will stand strong beside her. Amen to that!
Uplifting women is my theme... and it's a good one! We think, we pray, we weigh our options and make our choices & if we mess up, well...
We pick ourselves up. Dust ourselves off. And start all over again.
Like Mary at the cross, we don't give in and we don't give up. We stay the course. And that's what we do here in our books and on the farm. :)
We stay the course and that's not a bad gig at all!

Meet Beth!
Beth has been my editor and cover designer for all of my independent work. She's designed awesome new covers for my rights-reverted books. She's also my daughter!
She works with me and numerous other authors while managing the pumpkin farm, four kids, kids' sports, a full-time working husband, crazy parents (that would be me and Farmer Dave) and working knowledge of how to grow tens of thousands of pumpkins and over 4000 chrysanthemums, set up displays, work well with others most of the time (couldn't resist). Admittedly she resists cooking, leaves the baking to her mom (me) but we keep her busy enough so Jon and I are happy to take those chores off her shoulders... Most of the time!

Meet Amanda...
A full time high school teacher, wife, mother, hockey player, friend, daughter, goddaughter and niece, Amanda oversees all the creative development on the farm. She took it on her shoulders to carry on the work of Lisa and Wende. Lisa and Wende were beloved women who went home to God after breast cancer (Lisa) and complications from Covid (Wende). Two young mothers we love and miss every day.
Amanda stepped into the gap because Lisa and Wende set a high bar. Each year she organizes unsuspecting wonderful people to volunteer their time at the farm to create new dragon and fairy displays, games, hunts and activities to entertain small visitors. If you notice the resemblance AGAIN, Mandy is my goddaughter and niece. She's been my little buddy from the time she was just a cute kid and her love and help are even more welcome now.

People Power on the Farm!
From young to not-so-young we have a crew of wonderful guys and gals who jump in to help us throughout the year. Folks come by to help with mums, with weeding, with picking and planting... and there are a lot of delightfully clever minds that come up with fresh displays year after year! Free events, free scavenger hunts, three mini donkeys, a cool playground, the occasional farm cat (one who scratches, so watch out!)
Many hands make light work around here and we're not afraid to beg, borrow or steal all the help we can get! We are so blessed to call this place "home"!

Pumpkins, mums and really good cookies...
It was only supposed to be a little retirement project-- something to keep Farmer Dave busy ten years ago.
And then, BOOM! Folks started to find us, to find our amazing colorful pumpkins and squashes and mums, our displays, our Indian corn, fairy house trails, jingly bell wind chimes and comfortable swings tucked here and there and the place took off.
Dave had two thoughts on this: No cover charge... and no pumpkin over $5.00. Our thought was that if we got the numbers, it would pay for itself and it did!
